newyearsIf you’re planning to drink your leftover eggnog and pass out on the couch at 10:30 this New Year’s Eve, this list isn’t for you.  For everyone else . . .

WalletHub.com looked at the 100 biggest cities in America, and ranked the best and worst places to celebrate New Year’s Eve.  They factored in everything from the average price of a ticket to a New Year’s Eve party, to whether you can legally set off fireworks.

And the best city to be in for New Year’s is . . . Orlando, Florida.  It’s not clear if that has anything to do with Disney World or not.

The rest of the top ten goes:  San Francisco . . . Atlanta . . . San Diego . . . Scottsdale, Arizona . . . Minneapolis . . . Portland, Oregon . . . Cincinnati . . . Vegas . . . and Honolulu.

The ten WORST cities are North Las Vegas . . . Newark . . . Jersey City . . . Hialeah, Florida, near Miami . . . Fort Worth, Texas . . . Laredo, Texas . . . Garland, Texas . . . Charlotte, North Carolina . . . Arlington, Texas . . . and Memphis.

New York is all the way down at 25th, mostly because doing New Year’s Eve costs so much there.
